Mussoorie is the first choice of almost all the strollers. Be it a backpackers or a couple tourist, Mussoorie is popularly known as the Queen of Hills, a hill station located in the state of Uttarakhand.

It is a city situated on the foothills of the Himalayas at an altitude of about 2000 meters above sea level. This hill station provides a panoramic view of the Shivalik ranges and the Doon valleys.

Places near to Mussoorie :- Jwala Devi Temple, Nag Devta Temple and Bhadraraj Temple are some of the famous religious places located in and around Mussoorie.The beautiful hills located here are famous for Gun Hill, Lal Tibba and Nag Tibba. Gun Hill is situated at an altitude of 2122 meters above sea level. It is the second highest hill of Mussoorie which holds immense historical importance. Before independence, cannons were fired from this hill every afternoon, so that the time could be told to the local people. At that time people used to set their clocks accordingly. Presently, the water reservoir of Mussoorie is situated on this hill. Rope-way walk is very popular among tourists on the hill here.
Lal Tibba is the highest point of Mussoorie and is also called Depot Hill as a depot is located in this area. The towers of All India Radio and Doordarshan are situated on this hill. The Indian Military Service is also located on this hill. A Japanese telescope was also placed on this hill in 1967 for the convenience of tourists. Through this binocular ie telescope, tourists can see the nearby areas of Banderpunch, Kedarnath and Badrinath. Nag Tibba is another popular hill in Mussoorie and is also known as Nag Peak. Tourists can also enjoy adventures by coming here.
This place is also known for the beautiful waterfalls that flow here, namely – Kempty Waterfall, Jharipani Waterfall, Bhatta Waterfall and Mossi Waterfall. Kempty Falls is very popular among tourists visiting Mussoorie, which is situated at an altitude of 4500 feet above sea level. Jharipani Waterfall is also very popular among tourists here. Situated in Jharipani village, it is a famous destination and an ideal destination for adventure and adventure lovers. Bhatta Falls and Mossi Falls, 7 kms from Mussoorie. Is situated at this distance.

How to reach:-Mussoorie is easily connected to other parts of the country by air, rail and road. The nearest railway station to reach here is Dehradun which is about 35 km away. is far. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant which is situated in Dehradun. The distance of this airport from Mussoorie is 60 km.

Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (Mountain Depot) buses ply at regular intervals from Dehradun Railway Station to Mussoorie. The fare of which is about 60 rupees. Private cars are also always available. You can book it as per your convenience.
Where to stay:- Mussoorie is a famous tourist place. Therefore, there is also a good option of staying here. There are many hotels available near Mall Road. Weather of Mussoorie:- Mussoorie has pleasant weather in every month of the year which attracts a large number of tourists every year. This hill station looks beautiful in all seasons. However, the best time to visit Mussoorie is between March to June and September to November. Tourists who are interested in water sports and adventure activities must visit during the summer season. The summer season is the best for rock climbing, trekking and camping here. The best time to do water rafting is after the monsoon, which is between September and November.
